AppleMend — About

Where Understanding Comes First.

About AppleMend

AppleMend exists because an assessment can be technically correct and still miss the person. We think it should do both.

You are more than an assessment.

It is possible to complete a questionnaire, receive a score and be given a conclusion without anyone ever asking what your life is actually like. We do not believe that is good enough — particularly for adults who have spent years compensating, and whose difficulties rarely fit neatly into boxes.

AppleMend was founded on a simple conviction: that an ADHD assessment should be an act of understanding, carried out by someone with the experience to weigh everything it might be — and everything it might not.

That is why every assessment we arrange is conducted by a GMC-registered consultant psychiatrist with more than twenty years of psychiatric experience.

How we are organised

What AppleMend is

A non-clinical platform that arranges specialist adult ADHD assessments and supports you through the process — from the first enquiry to a clear, explained outcome. We handle the arranging, the scheduling and the discretion, so the clinical time is spent on you.

What AppleMend is not

AppleMend is not itself a clinical provider and does not diagnose, prescribe or treat. Every clinical assessment is conducted by an independent GMC-registered consultant psychiatrist. Our focus is assessment and diagnosis — we do not currently arrange medication initiation, titration or ongoing psychiatric treatment.

Our principles

Four things we will not compromise on.

01

Understanding before conclusion

A diagnosis reached without understanding the person is just a label. We arrange assessments that begin with your history, your circumstances and your life — and only then reach a view.

02

Senior clinical judgement

Every assessment is conducted by a GMC-registered consultant psychiatrist with more than twenty years of psychiatric experience. Nothing about that is delegated.

03

Discretion by default

Many of the people we help have professional reputations to protect. Confidentiality is not a feature we advertise; it is the way everything is done.

04

Clarity, whatever the answer

Sometimes the conclusion is ADHD. Sometimes it is not. Either way, you leave with an honest explanation and a clear sense of what comes next.

Senior clinicians. No delegation.

The people behind the assessment.

The psychiatrists who conduct AppleMend assessments are consultant psychiatrists registered with the General Medical Council, each with more than twenty years of psychiatric experience. They have spent their careers in senior clinical practice — assessing complexity, weighing differential diagnoses, and understanding people rather than processing them.

That depth of experience matters most precisely where adult ADHD is concerned, because the presentation is rarely simple and the alternatives are rarely obvious.

Understanding begins with a conversation.

A short, confidential enquiry is all it takes to begin.
